Facebook Athena Satellite – Facebook working on New Internet Satellite

According to the news, the Social Networking site Facebook confirmed, they are working on their new project called as Facebook Athena Satellite by “WIRED”. The Facebook Athena Satellite is low-Earth orbit (LEO) broadband satellite.

In May 2018 “IEEE Spectrum” published a report on the Satellite Company register by name PointView Tech LLC which is subsidiary by Facebook. According to report, Facebook carry out their broadband plans with the code name “Athena” under PointView Tech LLC.

This news comes just weeks after Facebook announced shutdown of its Internet Drone Project. Internet Drone Project was under the Aquila project. Facebook said they are no longer working on their high-flying autonomous Drone project. Facebook Aquila were powered by solar energy and for long period fly. It was designed to stream the internet access to the parts of earth where internet is not accessible.

It’s not the first time Facebook has tried to launch a satellite. In 2016, Facebook was working on the same project, by which Facebook planned to boost the internet connectivity in Africa. But the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying an Amos-6 satellite exploded on the launch pad in CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA.

Why Facebook Working on New Internet Satellite

Right now, Facebook not disclose any specific information about this project. But According to the information Facebook plans to launch the Athena Satellite probably in early 2019. Launching the Satellite in low earth orbit will be complete their goal of provide the internet access in the region where internet is not accessible. Because it is not possible to plant the wire cable network in each region of the earth.

There are also some other big companies brainstorming on the same objectives like Google. Google working on the project called “The Project Loon”. Google want to provide internet in every non-accessible remote areas of earth. They planning to do this, by planting the network of giant high-altitude balloons in the second major layer of Earth’s atmosphere. The second major layer of earth’s atmosphere is stratosphere.

Every year Apple launch their new iPhone models in the fall, and like every year they are also planning to launch their new iPhone models in 2018, which probably two new entry level iPhone maybe iPhone 9, iPhone 9 Plus and iPhone X next version which may be call as iPhone X Plus or iPhone XI.

Based on the rumours and leaks around the world on the internet, Apple will be launch three new iPhones this year but this is where things are a little less clear.

There is no debate the iPhone X is Apple’s best smartphone to date with many features like 5. 8-inch Super Retina AMOLED display, Face ID and wireless charging which cost high to iPhone users. But rumors and some leaks are pointing towards, Apple will bring most of this feature to their next entry level new iPhone (or iPhone 9 and iPhone Plus).

The picture is not cleared for iPhone 9 yet, but flood of rumors and leaks are pointing to a larger screen and a mix of an iPhone 8 and iPhone X features.

Benjamin Geskin popular leaker shared a photo of front panels for the three new iPhones, which Apple is expected to launch in September 2018. We are expecting three different size models this year, which we expecting in size of 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch all with nearly the same design.

What we expect?

New entry level iPhone which may be called iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus may be comes with larger screen and a mix of iPhone 8 and iPhone X features which will cost cheaper than iPhone 8. The main price rumor comes from renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, He claims the new entry level iPhone (or iPhone 9) could cost in the range of $600-$700 which makes it cheaper than present iPhone 8.

The iPhone 9 will come with LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and opposed to other two iPhone models, which will come with OLED Displays (Organic Light Emitting Diode) OLED screens. OLED screens needs less space to fit in mobile set than the LCD screens because OLED don’t require backlights to work. Analyst suggest that the new iPhone models will launch with new color variety which may be orange, blue, red and with some of their regular colors.

Samsung the south Korean multinational company has set up the Worlds largest mobile manufacturing unit in India at Sector 81 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. By the numbers, new Samsung Electronics manufacturing facility is about 35-acre big in size (15,24,600 Square foot).

The newly setup world’s largest Samsung mobile manufacturing unit inaugurated by the honorable prime minister of India Narendra Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on 9th July 2018.

Because of this largest plant, Samsung will able to produce their mobile phones in large count and will give the competition to other mobile manufacturing companies. Samsung will also export their mobile units to other countries and regions from this plant located in Noida, India. As per the information Samsung currently manufacturing 67 million smartphone units yearly in India and it is expected almost doubled of previous means nearly 120 million smartphone units from their largest manufacturing plants.

According to the information, Samsung has invested 4915 crores (Indian Rupees) in Noida, India plant and it will also help to create about 15,00 jobs in India.

Samsung new plant will also help to double their production not only in smartphones but it will also help in other consumer electrical products like Refrigerators, Televisions, Air Conditioner etc. This step of Samsung will helpful to consolidate the company’s leadership in these segments.

Microsoft new affordable 10 inch tablet Surface Go

After some rumours and leaks, Microsoft launched their affordable 10 inch tablet Surface Go in the market. Microsoft’s devices chief Panos Panay unveil it officially at Microsoft’s New York City event. Through this product launch Microsoft aiming to compete the range of cheap tablets market. It directly gives competition to other manufactures like Samsung’s 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab and Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad. It is available for preorder starting 10th July 2018 and will ship in August 2018.

According to the information, the base model of the Surface Go cost around $399 which will come with the specifications of 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC storage and Intel Pentium Gold processor. Surface Go builds with a specific price limits and some limited power technology compromises to achieve the price tag of $399.

The Surface Go is like the smaller version of the Microsoft Surface Pro. Microsoft doesn’t change the design of Surface Go, it is design like its successor surface Pro.

The Microsoft surface Go is not targeting any specific customer type, its targeted educational purpose, regular customers, and for commercial use. Surface Go launched while the Surface Laptop launched at an Educational event with Windows 10 s.
